A young teacher who had sex with two teenage boys "showed breathtaking gall" after she fell pregnant by one while on bail, the judge who jailed her has said.

Kate Roughley, 37, is on trial at Manchester Crown Court accused of the manslaughter by ill-treatment of nine-month-old Genevieve Meehan.

Giving evidence, the 15-year-old said he told his mother he was staying at a friend’s house, but was actually at the apartment of school teacher Rebecca Joynes.
