Loftus

A yellow warning for thunderstorms and heavy showers is in place until 8pm after damage caused overnight in North Yorkshire.

Ten people in total were treated for breathing difficulties following the incident which sparked an evacuation from the Loftus Leisure Centre in East Cleveland.

Loftus, Middlesbrough, South Shields and Stockton are the most recent additions to the list of 72 areas across the UK to be granted Future High Streets funding.
