The Whitby Lobster Hatchery has released 9,000 juvenile lobsters into the North Sea to replenish the fishery and bolster sustainability.
The lobster, which is female and around 50-years-old, has a genetic mutation that gives it a distinctive blue colour.
It was caught by a fisherman and put back into the sea due to the rare nature of the crustacean.
