It's not even October yet some towns in southern England are already hosting Bonfire Night celebrations

Lewes Bonfire is one of the biggest events in the UK. 

After a year's break, due to the pandemic,  the famous Lewes bonfire night celebrations returned last night.  

The Lewes bonfire has returned to Sussex tonight after it was cancelled last year, like many events, due to the pandemic. 

Lewes Borough Bonfire Society is well known for burning effigies of high-profile political figures such as Donald Trump and Sepp Blatter.
