Lemington's councillor made a moving speech to Newcastle City Council saying he is "fighting for every day" after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.

James Campbell was found guilty by a jury of killing 33-year-old Colette Myers.

James Campbell claimed Colette Myers, 33, had gone to bed and that he found her dead when he woke up the following morning.
