The city of Kochi’s commercial airport has been closed for nearly a week.

More than 350 people have died in the southern Indian state, as authorities rushed to bring drinking water to the most affected areas.

"We know some people nearby who died... 14 people in one house, but only six have been found so far, the others are still under the mud."
