Hunger Strike

Imprisoned British-Egyptian activist Alaa Abd El-Fattah has ended his hunger strike after more than six months, his family said.

Retired Gurkha soldiers from Hampshire and Berkshire will meet today to consider whether or not to go on hunger strike in a dispute over pension rights.

Anoosheh Ashoori is being held at Evin prison on charges of spying for Israel, which he denies.
