The ship left the UK six months ago, to replace HMS Diamond in the Red Sea to help keep trade flowing amid ongoing attacks by rebels in Yemen.
The warship returned from the eastern Mediterranean where it has been based for the past six months.
The 500-foot warship will be deployed in the region to relieve HMS Montrose of its duty.
