The owner of Hays Travel promised to ‘promote the peace, wellbeing and prosperity of our county and all its people’.

Stores that won't have their lease renewed includes one in Newcastle and in Stockton. 388 jobs are affected but it's hoped staff will be redeployed elsewhere.
