Great Central Railway

The former Great Central Station closed in 1969, and the site became hemmed in by the inner city road, the area around it slowly declined.

Sixty six volunteers have been honoured with more than forty years of service, a staggering two thousand six hundred years combined.

Stations along the Great Central Railway are holding World War Two events today to give visitors a flavour of life in the forties.
