Gin

The Little Quaker Distillery in Darlington is closing after four years of trading.

Juniper berries are the vital ingredient used to make gin, but the plant on which they grow is in decline due to overgrazing and changes to how land is managed.

The area has started producing its own gin for the first time in more than 180 years.
