German Shepherd

A puppy found living in grim conditions during a criminal investigation in Suffolk has become an "exceptional" police tracker dog.

Specialist dog handler PC Esme Jeal was called in along with PD Copper, a two-year-old German Shepherd, to help locate Birkett, alongside officers.

The family pet, called Geo, pushed the boy out of the way of an oncoming lorry.
