Temperatures again dropped to below freezing overnight as the autumn cold snap continued.

Sub-zero temperatures stretched as far south as Somerset, with parts of Scotland recording lows of -6C.

Let's face it, November felt like the tropics compared to the weather we've experienced over the last few days.
