Flags

Five designs from more than 200 entries have been shortlisted by the judges and approved by the Court of the Lord Lyon.

The civic flag would not be a national or regional symbol - but could 'incorporate representations of Britishness, Irishness and our collective diversity.'

The raising of 52 county flags is part of the government's mission to celebrate the traditions that bring our communities together.
