Extinct

A collection of dodo items and artefacts, belonging to the late naturalist Ralfe Whistler from Hastings, is expected to fetch tens of thousands at auction.

Thanks to the efforts of Marwell Wildlife near Winchester, the scimitar-horned oryx is no longer regarded as extinct in the wild.

The volcano has been defunct for 250 million years, so there's no danger of it spewing lava.
