English National Opera has announced a new partnership with Greater Manchester.

Members of Equity and the Musicians’ Union were due to walk out on Thursday over a dispute concerning cuts, but now the strike has been suspended.

Equity turned down plans to cut salaries as part of a plan to reduce the ENO’s opera season in London.
