The average household energy bill is to increase by £149 from Tuesday as Ofgem increases its price cap just as homes move into the winter months.

Consumer charity are calling for energy suppliers to identify and fix problems more quickly.

More than 1000 homes have been given subsidies by Jersey's government this year to help residents with the cost of conducting home energy audits.
