Durham Cathedral

A total of 40 banners are on display at Durham Cathedral - one for each year since the miners' strike of 1984-85.

Since spring, visitors, schools, local groups and church communities have been creating paper doves and positive messages written on the wings.

The World Heritage Site is famed as a peaceful place of pilgrimage, but in recent times it has become a movie set hosting Harry Potter and Marvel superheroes.
