The gang trafficked drugs worth up to £53 million during the plot which fell apart after police discovered a 1kg drug consignment in Bowness-on-Windermere.

Officers dismantled the cannabis factory and say that all of the plants will be destroyed.

Gareth Glynn Davies, 44, from Ashford was arrested. Searches of his car and home also found a lock knife, rambo knife, machete, two knuckle dusters and a baton.
