A group of men from south east England have been sentenced for importing 1,500 kilos of cannabis from Ghana to the UK hidden in sacks of food powder.
The group used an encrypted messaging app to communicate and arrange the movement of between 30 and 100kg of drugs at a time.
The boat was stopped at sea near Newquay on Friday afternoon, in what the force described as a “huge loss” for an organised crime group.
