Jersey Royal Court has sentenced Richard Steven Connelly, 41, and Terry David Renyard, 52, for attempting to smuggle drugs into the island.

John Haylett used the alias "Plowking" on an encrypted messaging service - a reference to a cult favourite episode of The Simpsons.

Jack Jacovou was arrested with almost £250,000 worth of Class A drugs, and detectives said Essex was now a safer place with the 41-year-old behind bars.
