First rowing head race takes place at Derwentwater for 150 years
Rowing clubs from across the North of England converged on Derwentwater on Saturday 4 March for the first head race to be held there since 1870.

They were taken to safety in the Lake District where water levels remained high.
Over 20,000 people are expected to arrive in Keswick for weekend-long sporting events.
