Council Elections

With a general election looming in the next few months, the local council elections in May will provide a tempting appetiser for the main course to come.

The head of the commission has called on the UK Government to urgently review the operation of DRNs in the region to ensure barriers to voting are removed.

Alliance had appealed the decision after Philip McKinney lost his Waterside seat by just a handful of votes in May's local election to the SDLP's Martin Reilly.
