The council carried out emergency works to stabilise the wall at Blue Anchor two years ago

The Cumbria Coastal Community Forest project will see thousands of trees planted along the western coast of Cumbria, creating up to 150 hectares of woodland.

The funding will allow the Southsea Coastal scheme to deliver vital coastal defence works protecting 10,000 homes and 700 businesses.
