Chester Racecourse

The former Liverpool and England striker is offering stakes in two of his horses for less than £100, in an effort to make racing affordable for all.

They want to build the facilities on an existing car park and create a new specially landscaped lawned area.

About 500 soldiers of the 1st Battalion The Royal Welsh have marched through Chester - to be greeted by Sir Alex Ferguson.
