Antigua and Barbuda PM Gaston Browne has told ITV News of plans to hold a referendum on replacing the monarchy

The plans will be worked out in the coming months as royal aides consider how best to reflect on, and respond to, the reaction to last week’s Caribbean tour.

Roughly 16,000 evacuees have been forced to flee their ash-covered communities.
