The celluloid negatives were taken at the expedition base camp and show Scott's group preparing for their Terra Nova Expedition of 1911.

100 years ago today, the ship which carried Captain Scott and his crew on their fateful South Pole expedition returned to the capital.

Photos taken by Captain Scott on his Antarctic expedition go on display at Cambridge University. They were thought lost for many years.
