Calderdale Council faced a backlash after announcing hundreds of streets would not be routinely gritted in a bid to save £300,000.

Calderdale Council has reduced the number of gritting routes it covers as a precaution to save £300,000.

Twenty men have been given sentences totalling more than 200 years for exploiting four girls in Calderdale between 2001 and 2010.
