Joseph Eubank, of Hove, was acquitted of two counts of rape of a 16-year-old girl by a jury after several hours of deliberating at Lewes Crown Court on Friday.

The 27-year-old gave evidence at Lewes Crown Court on Wednesday during which he said that the encounter was ‘very consensual’.

Brighton's shingle beach stretches for 5.4 miles and has a flat sandy foreshore which becomes exposed at low tide.
