Breonna Taylor

The Justice Department has brought civil rights charges against current and former officers for their roles in the 2020 fatal shooting of Breonna Taylor.

Ms Taylor, a black woman who was an emergency medical worker, was shot multiple times by white officers after her boyfriend fired at them.

Louisville is a city besieged by racial grievances, reignited by a Grand Jury ruling to charge only one of the officers involved in the Breonna Taylor shooting.
