The Bishop of Durham, the most senior Church of England figure in the North East, says he has "mixed emotions" as he retires from his duties after ten years.
The Bishop of Durham, the most senior Church of England figure in the North East, says he has "mixed emotions" as he retires from his duties after ten years.
Bishop Paul Butler, who will have served as Bishop of Durham for 10 years, will retire at the end of February 2024.
During the service, Bishop Butler acted as one of the King's Bishop Assistants alongside the Bishop of Bath and Wales.
