Biggin Hill

An aircraft engineer who restores historic Spitfire fighter planes that "all have a story to tell" has said they must be kept flying for future generations.

An unofficial heritage trail now allows people to trace the story of the RAF's heroic pilots.

World War Two veterans from the RAF have gathered at Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar in Kent, with some even taking to the sky in a Spitfire.
