By Spring next year, it is hoped the pair will be ready to join the charity's daily displays for the public.

In Northern Ireland, barn owl eggs are typically laid in April, with chicks normally fledging in June or July.

Two nest sites were also discovered in Co Down, helping to boost the bird's fragile population in NI, which is estimated to be fewer than 30 breeding pairs.
