The Channel Islands Co-op have removed all disposable barbecues as a 'precautionary measure'.

The fines have been put in place to protect its wildlife habitats and keep the risk of wildfires low.

Firefighters have issued a fresh warning about the dangers of disposable barbecues after one was put in a bin which then caught fire.
