Connétable Andy Jehan's proposition that would have replaced Jersey's Bailiff in the States Assembly with two Speakers has been withdrawn.

A Jersey politician has suggested that there may, at some stage, be the possibility for islanders to have their say on the island's Bailiff Role.

Infrastructure Minister Deputy Andy Jehan has lodged a proposition to remove the Bailiff from the States Assembly and introduce two new roles.
