The police officers who attempted to save four young boys who died after falling into a freezing lake have been honoured at the national Police Bravery Awards.

Officers formed a human chain and entered a freezing lake against medical advice to try and save four boys who had fallen into the water, an inquest has heard.

A group of soldiers are walking more than 100 miles in memory of four boys who died after being pulled from Babbs Mill Lake last month.
