The Metropolitan Police apologised on Friday after an officer used the term "openly Jewish" to describe an antisemitism campaigner.

Gideon Falter said he had been walking in the capital after attending synagogue and was not there to counter-protest.

The Soho Theatre said Paul Currie, from Belfast, would not be invited back to perform at the West End theatre.
