Amber Snow Warning

A number of schools are closed today due to snow and ice with a warning for motorists to take care on the region's roads

Drivers are being urged to "only travel if absolutely essential" with some roads across the county "impassable", because of the snowy conditions.

Police are warning people not to drive unless the journey is absolutely essential. A number of accidents have been reported.
