An investigation has found that a part failed before a Tui flight came off the runway at Leeds Bradford Airport during Storm Babet.

The ATR aircraft, leased by Aurigny from Jump Air, was approaching Guernsey Airport from Southampton when investigators say it flew too low in foggy conditions.

Simon Riggs, who had recently retired, died when his aircraft crashed in Cambridgeshire on Tuesday.
