Neighbour of Russell Square stabbing suspect speaks out

A neighbour of the Russell Square stabbing suspect has described him as a "good boy" who was "not radicalised in any way".

Parmit Singh Bhamra told ITV News the 19-year-old, who has been arrested on suspicion of murder, was "academic" and "on the ball".

He said: "He was a good boy, he listened to his mum, he listened to his sister. He used to help out with the shopping, help out bringing things in and out of the house. I don't have anything bad to say about him."

He added that the man was "not fanatic" about Islam, saying: "I guarantee you he was not connected to ISIS in any way."

Police have said there is no evidence the suspect was radicalised and do not believe he was "in any way motivated by terrorism".

London stab victim posts selfie from hospital bed

A victim of the Russell Square stabbing has posted a selfie from her hospital bed.

Israeli Yovel Lewkowski suffered an injury to her arm during the attack in which an American woman was killed.

She confirmed she has since been released from hospital.

Two Australians injured in Russell Square attack

Two Australians, a man and a woman, were injured in the attack in Russell Square, but their injuries were not life threatening.

The man has already been discharged from hospital and a woman is expected to be discharged soon, a spokesperson for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) said.

Another Australian woman was at the scene of the attack but was not injured, the spokesperson said.

"Consular assistance has been provided to the man and one of the women and DFAT is attempting to contact the other woman involved to offer consular assistance," the DFAT spokesperson said.

Members of the public and businesses have left floral tributes at the scene of the attack, where an American woman was killed.

Israeli woman injured in attack discharged from hospital

An Israeli tourist who was injured in the Russell Square stabbing attack has been discharged from hospital after treatment and is "doing okay", an embassy spokesperson has told the Jewish Chronicle.

The woman was in the UK visiting friends and family when she stabbed in an attack described by police as "spontaneous".

She was injured and taken to hospital but was discharged and she is doing okay.

Norway police 'informed' of citizen's arrest

Norway's police say they have been told that a 19-year-old Norwegian national has been arrested on suspicion of murder in relation to the attack.

Officials said the suspect is listed as emigrating from Norway in 2002, when he was five years old.

In a statement, the Norwegian police and National Criminal Investigation Service (NCIS) said they are ready to assist the British police in their investigation.
