Stars honoured in Queen's Birthday Honours list revealed

Rod Stewart, Dame Vera Lynn, Tim Peake and Ant and Dec have been named among the stars recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.

Veteran singer Stewart was given a knighthood and promised to "wear it well" and Ant and Dec said they were "thrilled, honoured and humbled to receive OBEs".

Nottinghamshire's Ashes hero Stuart Broad has been awarded the MBE.

He was named in the Queen's Birthday Honours list along with celebrities such as Rod Stewart and Ant and Dec.

The Nottingham and England cricketer is currently playing for England against Sri Lanka in the 3rd Investec Test Match at Lord's.

Singer Rod Stewart has described the news of his knighthood for services to music and charity as a 'truly monumental honour' after his inclusion on the Queen's Birthday Honours list was revealed on Friday.

The 71-year-old crooner joins other famous faces including Dame Vera Lynn, Ant and Dec and Tim Peake in being named on this year's list.
