Lizzie Armitstead 'very sore' after race crash

British cyclist Lizzie Armitstead has reassured fans that she is "ok but very sore" after she was rushed to hospital following a crash at the Women's Tour in Aldeburgh, Suffolk.

The 26-year-old won the race, but seconds after crossing the finishing line she raised her hands to celebrate the victory and caught her arm on a spectator, which sent her tumbling to the ground.

Several other riders were taken down in the crash - it is not yet known if they were injured.

As the 26-year-old crossed the finish line in first place, she raised her hands in a victory celebration and got caught by a spectator, sending her tumbling off her bike.
