Police assessing other information after Glitter conviction
Scotland Yard has confirmed it is currently assessing other information received in light of Gary Glitter's conviction.
Detective Chief Inspector Michael Orchard, from Operation Yewtree, said Glitter was a "habitual sexual predator who took advantage of the star status afforded to him".
He added: "His lack of remorse and defence that the victims were lying make his crimes all the more indefensible."
Victim Support, which provided support to Glitter's victims as they attended court to give evidence, meanwhile praised the women for giving evidence that was crucial in the singer's conviction.
Glitter has not 'atoned' for depraved sex attacks on girls
The judge sentencing Gary Glitter has condemned the disgraced singer in the strongest possible terms, saying: "It is difficult to overstate the depravity of this dreadful behaviour."
The 70-year-old's youngest victim was younger than 10 years old when he crept into her bed and tried to rape her in 1975.
Glitter, real name Paul Gadd, attacked two girls, aged 12 and 13, after inviting them backstage to his dressing room, and isolating them from their mothers.
"All of this happened because and only because of your fame," Judge Alistair McCreath said. "You kept her in your room all night."
The judge said he noted Glitter had sought out professional help in 2011 but said he was in "no position to decide what your true motivation was in seeking this treatment" and had found no evidence that the former pop star had "atoned" for his offences.

Gary Glitter's repeat offences led to 16-year jail term
Gary Glitter's 16-year jail term includes a seven-year sentence for one count of attempted rape against his first victim.
That will run consecutively with an eight-year sentence for unlawful sex with a girl under 13.
He was also given 12 months imprisonment for the attack on his 13-year-old victim.
Glitter, real name Paul Gadd, was given an additional five years for the remaining three counts of indecent assault, to run concurrently.
Glitter did schoolgirl victims 'real and lasting damage'
Gary Glitter did his teenage victims "real and lasting damage", the judge has said while sentencing the disgraced singer to 16 years in jail for historical sex attacks.
Addressing the disgraced singer in a courtroom that included his still-loyal fans gathered in the public gallery, Judge Alistair McCreath described the impact of Glitter's abuse on three girls, then aged 10, 12 and 13.
Glitter, dressed in a black velvet coat and burgundy scarf, showed no reaction as he was led from the dock at London's Southwark Crown Court after he was sentenced.
