Opinion: Redknapp was never the right manager for QPR
Bolton youngster thought Man United move was a joke
Andy Kellett could not believe that Manchester United wanted to sign him on loan for the rest of the season, before joining the Premier League club, according to Neil Lennon.
The Bolton defender thought he was returning to League Two Plymouth on loan, but will instead spend the coming months at Old Trafford.
"He hadn't got a clue. He was on his way to Plymouth. He thought I was winding him up," Bolton boss Lennon explained.
"It took a good five or 10 minutes. He wouldn't believe us. We told him to ring his father and we'd tell him, and once that happened I think it started to sink in.
"It's a great story but now he's got to knuckle down and learn."

Video: New Man United signing scores wonder goal
More than few eyebrows were raised when the Red Devils announced the loan signing of Bolton defender Andy Kellet on deadline day.
Man United fans had been hoping for someone in the class of Mats Hummels, and may have suffered from a mixture of confusion and disappointment when Kellet's loan deal was confirmed.
The 21 year-old has spent much of this season on loan with League Two outfit Plymouth Argyle, where he bagged a first professional goal – against Northampton in December – with some aplomb.

Four key transfer deadline day deals
Clubs spend £950m in transfer windows
Premier League clubs have spent a record £950million in the last two transfer windows.
There was no downturn in the January window, as clubs matched the £130million spent at the same time last year.
Dan Jones, partner in the Sports Business Group at Deloitte, said: "Given the record level of spending seen in the summer, it is not entirely surprising that we haven't seen a new record for the January window. However, with all Premier League clubs recording record revenues, we might have expected one or two more major deals in this window.
"Despite the relative restraint we have seen in the January window, 2014-15 is still a record season for Premier League spending. Last season saw Premier League spending surpass the £700million threshold for the first time, and the revenue growth at Premier League clubs is such that they have been able to record a combined transfer spend this season of over £950million."

Man United midfielder joins Derby on loan
Jesse Lingard has joined Championship promotion chasers Derby on loan from Man United until the end of the season.
Lingard joins fellow deadline day signing Tom Ince at the club, who earlier left Hull City on loan to link up with Steve McClaren's side.
Man United allow longest serving player to leave
Darren Fletcher has joined West Brom from Man United on a free transfer after 20 years with the Red Devils having signed at the age of 11 in 1995.
Scottish international Fletcher, who won five Premier League titles and the Champions League in 2008 at Old Trafford, will bring much needed experience to the West Brom midfield.
Hull finalise deal for Senegal striker Dame N'Doye
Hull City have completed the transfer of Senegalese striker Dame N'Doye from Lokomotiv Moscow for an undisclosed fee.
The 29 year-old joins the club on a two-and-a-half year contract having scored 27 goals in 71 appearances for the Russian side.
Spurs force West Ham to block Cole West Brom deal
Former Chelsea striker Carlton Cole has been prevented from joining West Brom from Premier League rivals West Ham, because the Hammers were blocked from signing Emmanuel Adebayor by Spurs.
Baggies boss Tony Pulis had made it clear he wanted to bring a striker to the club, and highlighted Cole as one of his targets after missing out to Crystal Palace on Shola Ameobi.
But Spurs pulled the plug on West Ham's deal for Emmanuel Adebayor late one, forcing Sam Allardyce to keep hold of Cole.
The striker has scored two goals for West Ham in the Premier League this season, and will have to continue settling for a place on the bench there.
