Novak Djokovic beats Roger Federer in Wimbledon final

Wimbledon runner up Roger Federer said he 'felt the love' from the crowd on Centre Court despite losing out to Novak Djokovic.

The 32-year-old, who was going for a record-breaking eighth Wimbledon title, said: "It was a great final. I can't believe I made it to five sets. It wasn't looking good out there for a while."

He added: "Going into a match with Novak is always going to be tough. I felt the love out there. I enjoyed myself a lot. See you next year."

Novak Djokovic has dedicated his Wimbledon triumph to his "future wife" Jelena Ristic and their unborn baby.

The Serbian said: "I want to dedicate this win to a few people, first of all to my future wife and our future baby. I am going to become a father soon and I am still preparing for that."

The childhood sweethearts got engaged in September 2013 and announced they were expecting on Twitter in April this year.

Wimbledon Champion Novak Djokovic said 'I don't know how I managed to do it' moments after beating Roger Federer.

This is his second Wimbledon title win.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined the likes of David and Victoria Beckham and Hollywood stars Samuel L. Jackson and Bradley Cooper on the courtside for the men's final at Wimbledon.

Swiss veteran Roger Federer is taking on Serbian favourite Novak Djokovi for the coveted title.

Other celebrity fans at the match included The Hangover star Bradley Cooper and his model girlfriend Suki Waterhouse, Wolverine star Hugh Jackman and Thor's Chris Hemsworth.

Czech champion Kvitova fell to the ground in jubilation when she realised she was the winner before making her way up to embrace her family and supporters in the players' box.

It is Kvitova's second Wimbledon title, having won the grand slam tournament in 2011.

Speaking afterwards she said it was absolutely amazing to win again, and thanked her family, as her father looked on in tears.

"I just really wanted to be here again with the trophy."
