Weather: Lively start to the week with heavy rainfall
Wet weather ensures a lively start to the week, including possible thunder in south western parts of England, though central and eastern regions may enjoy a drier afternoon.
Weather warnings will be in force with prolonged downpours expected tonight across the UK.

UK on flood alerts as 'this rain just has nowhere to go'
There is high potential for more flooding as the ground is still saturated from the December storms and rain "just has nowhere to go", Daybreak's Laura Tobin explained.
The south west remained the worst effected part of the UK with 10 flood warnings in force, with the wet weather set to continue until Tuesday.
Flood warnings as more rain and snow expected
There are 149 flood alerts and 14 flood warnings in place across England as more rain is expected.
Most of the more severe warnings issued by the Environment Agency (which does not cover Scotland or Northern Ireland) are in the south west.

The Met Office have issued a weather warning that covers almost the entire UK. The warning is for snow, ice, rain and high winds in different regions.
