Coronation Street stars have performed their own rendition of The Pogues' Christmas classic for ITV's Text Santa fundraiser, which has so far raised almost £4.2 million for six charities.

The final preparations are under way for the annual ITV Text Santa appeal show, due to take over the channel at 8pm tonight.

ITV stars have been busy preparing for the show, which is hoping to raise funds for Age UK, Barnardo's, BeatBullying, British Heart Foundation, CLIC Sargent and Help the Hospices.
