The birth of Prince George could help the British baby market grow from £1.958 billion in 2012 to over £2.3 billion by 2018 according to new estimates obtained by the Tonight programme.

Prince George's swaddle wrap sells out
The swaddle cloth that Prince George was wrapped in to leave the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital has already sold out, two days after his first public appearance.
The 100% white cotton wrap with green birds on is sold by aden + anais and comes in a pack of four. The jungle jam set retails for £44.95.
Company founder Raegan Moya-Jones told the Daily Telegraph: 'We are truly grateful and so delighted that the couple chose to debut the prince in aden + anais, it is such an honour. We wish the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge many congratulations on the birth of their son."
GH Hurt and Son Ltd, the company that made the white shawl that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's son was wrapped in when he first appeared from the hospital, has also received an "unprecedented" run of orders, the Daily Mail reported.

The birth of Prince George could help the British baby market grow to over £2.3 billion according to new figures obtained by ITV's Tonight programme.
- Research for 'Kate's Baby Bounce' suggests the birth of the royal baby will help the British baby market grow to over £2.3 billion in the first few years of its life - an increase of nearly 20%.
- In 2012 the market was estimated to be worth £1.958 billion but the Centre for Retail Research estimates that will hit £2.33 billion by 2018 as retailers and manufacturers capitalise on the marketing opportunities in the first few years of Prince George's life.
- Manufacturers of luxury goods are likely to benefit the most with the market expected to be worth nearly £500 million by 2018.
