Police still seek Georgia's bags, jacket and phone

Police originally appealed for the items over the weekend

West Mercia Police say there are continuing to look for Georgia Williams' missing bag, make-up bag, mobile phone and jacket.

The bag is a 'distinctive' spotty leather satchel, and her pink make-up bag has a flowered pattern and contains various items of makeup.

The black, leather-type coat Georgia was wearing when she was last seen leaving her family's home is also missing, along with her white Samsung Galaxy Y smartphone.

Georgia died as result of pressure being applied to neck

I can now confirm that the body found in woodland off the Nant-y-Garth pass near Wrexham on Friday afternoon has been formally identified as that of 17-year-old Georgia Williams.

Although we are not in a position to release any further details for legal reasons, and out of respect for the Williams family at this terribly sad time, I am also able to confirm that Georgia died as a result of pressure being applied to her neck.

An inquest into Georgia’s death will be opened at Wellington Civic Centre at 2pm this afternoon but this will be immediately adjourned till a later date.

Chairman remembers 'lovely girl' after football tribute

We've opened up the stadium today to allow people to come and pay their respects to Georgia (Williams), who supported our football club but also worked for us as part of our match day team.

It's a very sombre day, but I think people being able to come here has allowed people to come together and express their grief and sorrow at such a horrible piece of news.

She was a lovely girl. Very polite and well-mannered. Bright, bubbly and really did make a massive impact on anyone she came in contact with. She will be sorely missed.

Police ask for help in finding Georgia Williams items

She was wearing it when she was last seen leaving her family’s home in Wellington, Shropshire, at 7.30pm last Sunday.
