Coronation Street actor Michael Le Vell has pleaded not guilty to a series of alleged child sex offences at Manchester Crown Court.
The star, who plays car mechanic Kevin Webster in the ITV soap, answered "Not guilty" 19 times in a clear voice as each of the individual charges were put to him by the clerk during the brief hearing. The alleged offences relate to one complainant and all took place between 2001 and 2010.

The star, who plays car mechanic Kevin Webster in the ITV soap, has vehemently denied the allegations and is due to formally enter his pleas to the charges at Manchester Crown Court this afternoon.
The 48-year-old is charged under his real name of Michael Turner with 19 offences including six counts of raping a child, six allegations of indecently assaulting a child and seven counts of sexual activity with a child.
The alleged offences relate to one complainant and all took place between 2001 and 2010.

Coronation Street actor enters no plea to charges
Michael Le Vell has been charged with 19 sex offences including six counts of rape with a child under the age of 16.
He only confirmed his real name - Michael Turner - and address.
The Coronation Street actor entered no plea but his solicitor indicates he will fully contest the charges.
The case has been referred to Manchester Crown Court for March 20.
